Getting a list of possible providers

To get a list of possible providers, use our online search or give us a call at 1-800 455-8326.

The Phone Call: Narrowing the list

In your phone call, you should check if the provider cares for children of your child's age and has openings when you need care. If the provider has openings for your children, ask about location, group size, cost, program philosophy, discipline, transportation and references.

If your first call is not mutually convenient, arrange a time to call back when you both will have time for discussion. It is both your right and your responsibility as a parent to determine if the childcare provider is the appropriate choice for you and your child, so feel free to ask questions.

The Visits: Picking a provider

After your phone call, visit the programs that interest you. Usually it is best to schedule two separate visits. The first visit should include your child. Ask to spend time watching the children's activiites. If the first visit goes well, schedule a second visit to discuss the contract, fees, program and additional questions or concerns.
